What!? We have the whole crew back together? In one place? I’m already dead!? ….WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA-boom- You’re mind is going to be blown in this episode of The 8-bit Bar as Ashleigh, Jason, Matt, and Wally talk about LIMBO, Inception, Neo Geo, and Street Fighter x Tekken.

It’s a bro-tacular episode this week as Stephen, Tony, and Matt are your masters of insanity this week. Tony expresses his profound sadness with Trinity Universe, Stephen talks gentle banchos, and Matt gushes over Daniel Way and his new limited series, Hit-Monkey, and his run on Deadpool. They then move into Pokemon White and Black having video chat (?), the first Green Lantern movie image, and other problems with comic book movies, before moving into how crazy the Crank movies are when you think about it.

This week, Jason makes his triumphant return to the podcast after weeks of fighting octopi and staving off hungry video game nerds. His return also signals another tonal shift in the show’s format, as I decide to completely abandon one in favor of a more fluid conversation where we can talk anything nerdy and cool in comics, books, games, movies, or TV. We start with some Crackdown 2, head into why M.Night Shyamalan will be destroyed for his sins against The Last Airbender, and a little turn based fighter named, Toribash.

It’s also bit of a shorter episode as we haven’t really been playing much and the news is still recovering from E3. We do talk about how kids don’t play outside anymore and a few nuggets of X-COM hellishness and Medal of Honor’s racial insensitivity.

It’s a fast paced show full of  awesome this week. Py and Matt recount why Berger can’t bring himself to play Metal Gear Solid. We have Py and Teben recount their E3 impressions and talk some 80s cartoons.

We welcome Jason Surrency this week as he fills in for Py, who was out of town when we recorded. Jason fills the spot well though, even doing a dead-on Py impersonation, and adding his own brand of wit and humor to the show. Along the way we get deep into APB, talk Magic XBLA, and some backlog talk about Dead Space.

Also, we are pleased to announce our first Super Street Fighter IV tourney. The tournament will take play on July 10th, Saturday, at 3:00 PM EST on Xbox 360. It will be a 16 player tournament and if you want to enter, send an email to mail@8bitbar.com with ‘Super Street Fighter IV tourney’ in the subject line. Registration will continue until July 2nd or until all 16 spots are filled, whichever happens first.
